DANNY MUÑOZ
Since childhood, Coach Muñoz has been interested in martial arts and its global cultural influence. At 18, Muñoz began his Taekwondo journey with Slomovitz Elite Taekwondo at Denison University in Granville and Worthington, OH, under the tutelage of Master Jordan Slomovitz. While at Denison University, he earned his 1st Dan Black Belt and a bachelor’s in anthropology and sociology.

Since graduating from college, Coach Muñoz has trained at Mac's Gym under the tutelage of Coaches Mac, MacMillan, and Weiss, where he has was awarded his 2nd Dan Black Belt. At the gym, Muñoz can be found teaching TaeKwonDo classes for adults and teens, training for his next rank, and competing at national and regional TaeKwonDo competitions. Additionally, Muñoz trains Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and advanced striking. His passion for teaching martial arts is inspired by his passion as a former Language Arts and Special Education educator in Chicago. His aspiration as a coach is to inspire people to be advocates for their freedom and education.

When not training, Coach Muñoz can be found traveling around the U.S. for the best food spots and local shops.
